Happy Birthday - Doodled Flowers

Hello!

I received some new Happy Little Stampers stamps in the mail yesterday. As I looked at them last night I knew just what I wanted to create first - a birthday card for my little girl's friend. These big numbers are wonderful! And I just love Doodled Flowers!
The colour scheme was chosen by my daughter. The flowers are her friend's favourite colours.:-)

I'm entering this into the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes challenge. This is an ongoing open challenge where we can show off what we do with HLS stamps. A great place to go when you have a new set that you've been playing with.
Thanks for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 174

Hello!

It's time for CAS(E) This Sketch! This week's sketch has stars on it. Like flowers and butterflies, I find stars hard to resist! So I didn't stray far from the sketch in making my card.
I used PTI Sparkle & Shine stamps and dies and Wplus9 star stax dies.
You don't have to use stars, those stars can be anything! Go ahead! Get more creative than I did, haha! :-) It's a great sketch and I can't wait to see what everyone does with it.

The rest of the design team have made some awesome cards. You should definitely take some time to visit them all and leave some love.

Thanks for visiting me!

Fusion - Something Blue

Hello!

It's time for the new Fusion Card Challenge! Both the sketch and the inspiration photo had me reaching for my stamps. So pretty! I had to create a fusion card. :-)
I used SU! Wild About Flowers, PTI Background Basics: Circles, and PTI Botanical Blocks sentiment and dies.
Work has been crazy busy lately. I'm taking holidays from mid-June, but I haven't really been able to put much thought to that yet. I really need to because I'm heading to Europe! I do have my passport organised, and flights booked, but nothing else arranged... oops! Luckily I'm happy to go with the flow!

I hope you are inspired to join us at Fusion. I can't wait to see the gallery.

CAS(E) This Sketch 172

Hello!

It's time for another CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge! I found this week's sketch a bit challenging. Probably because I looked at it and got all sorts of wonderful ideas that I just couldn't make work in paper! I had to put it down and walk away for a day.

I am in love with the card I eventually made. I love this dancing, twirling girl, and I especially love her in yellow and surrounded by a circle of flowers!
I used PTI Ballerina Beauty stamps and die.
My youngest daughter completed her first NAPLAN tests this week (standardised testing in Australia is run in Grades 3, 5, 7, and 9). I told her it wasn't anything to worry about, to just go and answer the questions the best she can on the day. She came home thrilled that the first test was to write a narrative and that it was free choice of topic! She tells me her story was about a girl who had a magic handball. :-)

I hope you'll take a visit to the rest of the CAS(E) This Sketch team and then join in the fun!

Thanks for visiting!

Fusion - Port'O'Call Polaroid

Hello!

It's Fusion Challenge time! Our inspiration is nautical, which I have interpreted as a red, blue, and white colour scheme. I created a Fusion card using the sketch and the inspiration photo.

I just love this card. The photograph doesn't do it justice!
I used Mama Elephant stamps - We Click and Pandamonium. The checkered background stamp is PTI On The Farm.
I've spent the last couple of days in Canberra where the daytime maximum temperatures are below the Brisbane night time minimums. The weather confuses me. We're still experiencing hot days in Brisbane and yet the rest of the country seems to be moving rapidly towards Winter. I cannot wait for the snow to arrive down South so that we get the cool air flowing up to us in the North. :-)

Thanks for dropping by!

CAS(E) This Sketch 171

Hello,

It's time for CAS(E) This Sketch! This week's sketch is endlessly inspiring. I have many ideas to create with it!

My first card is this one using Papertrey Ink's Botanical Blocks III.
I didn't add the splashes and splotches from the sketch. I really need to go back and make another card. I love splotches!
I made my second card using SU! Rose Wonder stamps. Such a pretty set.
This week has been busy. On Tuesday night I went to a Twenty One Pilots concert with my daughter and her friend. That was awesome fun! I'm not sure that 46 year olds are the normal demographic for TOP fans, but I know I'm not the only "old" fan out there. ;-) I was reminded how much I like going to see bands. They played in a small-ish venue, which is my favourite - more personal and much more fun than stadium shows.

Last night we had an ensemble competition for my daughter's string ensemble. Her ensemble played beautifully. The adjudicator said that first and second were equal and it could have gone either way - but they came second. They played well and should be proud of themselves.

Now, it's past my bedtime and I'm exhausted. I'm very much looking forward to my bed!

Thank-you for visiting! I hope you join us at CAS(E) This Sketch. :-)
